INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION COMPETITION
INTERARCH 2026
EUROPEAN POLICIES IN ARCHITECTURE –
HOLISTIC APPROACH TO A WORLD IN TRANSITION

The Union of Architects in Bulgaria (UAB) and the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG) are opening the 16th edition of the INTERARCH 2026 Exhibition-Competition – this time the theme is „A Holistic Approach to a World in Transition“.
Submitted proposals must be projects built in the last 3 years or in process of implementation. They must reflect the core values of European policies in Architecture by addressing various topics: affordable housing, renovation of existing built environment, sustainability and climate change resilience, water management, carbon and waste control, as well as inclusive urban planning and innovative architectural solutions for public spaces and buildings that care for human health.

Proposals must promote new solutions or the restoration of the built environment and neighborhood spaces that are innovative, sustainable, inclusive and beautiful, while respecting the landscape and the diversity of places, traditions and cultures.

The exhibition-competition is open to architects from Bulgaria and other countries.

AWARDS

There will be up to three (3) awards – Award of Interarch 2026, Award of the Union of Architects in Bulgaria, Award of the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy. At the decision of the Jury some special awards might be granted.

The Awards are no monetary.

TECHNICAL PARAMITARS OF THE PANELS FOR THE EXHIBITION

● The size of the panels must be 96.5 x 96.5 cm. – please see the attached drawing.
● One project must be exhibited on only one panel.
● One author can submit a maximum of 2 panels (2 projects).
● The panel submission is in PDF format and must be sent via internet to the following e-mail address interarch2026@bularch.org
● There is a fee for printing and elaborating the panels – 50 € /for 1 or maximum 2 panels/.
● The payment procedure must be carried out according to the Registration rules.

Nota Bene!

● Please note that projects that are not accompanied by a registration form and payment of the exhibition-competition registration fee corresponding to the number of panels will not be considered.

● Please note that for the conference on 16.10.2026 there is no participation fee, but a completed Registration Form is required due to the limited number of seats.
Deadline for registration for the conference – 11.10.2026.

● Deadline for registration for the exhibition-competition and receipt of projects – 28.09.2026.

In case of collective payment of the registration fee, please note that the registration fee of €50 is collected for 1 author (one author has the right to submit 1 or maximum 2 projects)
